Frequently asked questions

Answers about privacy, limits, and how this free free filler word remover works.

What filler words does this remover clean?

Common speech fillers such as um, uh, er, erm, like, you know, I mean, kind of, sort of, basically, literally, actually, well, so, right, okay, and similar hesitation phrases.

How do I see which words were removed?

The tool lists every filler that appeared in your paste with a count, and marks those words with red strikethrough in the Before panel next to the cleaned After text.

Does it remove every instance of a filler?

Yes. Matching is case-insensitive with word boundaries, so standalone fillers are removed. Be careful with words like “like” or “so” that can also be real content words.

Is this filler word remover free?

Yes. Scribia’s filler remover is completely free, with no signup, login, watermark, or upload to our servers.

Do you store my transcript?

No. Cleaning runs entirely in your browser. We do not store, log, or transmit your transcript.

Need more transcript editing than just fillers?

This tool cleans text. Scribia can transcribe videos, summarize content, and edit timelines with word-level precision.
